Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e- Ittehadul Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi challenged All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi to debate on whether the Congress upheld the Constitution. He also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the debate.

Addressing a public meeting in Bengalur, where the AIMIM is supporting the Janata Dal (Secular), the AIMIM leader said, “I dare Congress president Rahul Gandhi to a five-minute debate on whether the Congress upheld the Constitution. Let PM Modi also be present. Let both of them debate with me.”

Owaisi levelled serious allegations against Gandhi and said the Congress was hand-in-glove with the BJP over the Triple Talaq Bill in Parliament, and accused both parties of match-fixing. “If you want a relief from both these parties, then support the regional parties. Only the regional parties can stop the national parties,” he said.
