LDF voted out of power in Erattupetta

Kottayam: The Left Democratic Front (LDF) lost power in Erattupetta municipality on Saturday after a Left independent council member supported the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition United Democratic Front(UDF).

The no confidence motion got passed with the support of 15 members in the 28-member council. The no confidence motion signed by 11 members of the UDF was supported by three members of Kerala Janapaksham. It was also supported by V.K. Kabeer, the LDF independent member, resulting in the success of the motion.
