JD(S) men backed BJP only in Udbur not anywhere else, says Siddaramaiah
However, this does not hold good for the entire Lok Sabha constituency which has more than18 lakh voters.
Mysuru: Former chief minister and Congress-JD(S) coordination committee head Mr Siddaramaiah on Sunday remarked that Mysuru district minister G.T. Devegowda might have stated the truth when he revealed that JD(S) workers had voted for the BJP and not the coalition candidate C.H. Vijayshankar in Udbur in Chamundeswari assembly constituency which forms part of Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency.
However, this does not hold good for the entire Lok Sabha constituency which has more than18 lakh voters. There are Congress voters too in Udbur who have voted for the coalition candidate, he said here on Sunday.
He said, “We will win 100 percent in Mysuru-Kodagu constituency and in Mandya too. How can we predict the margin by which we will win?", he wondered.
On the statement of PM Mr Narendra Modi that former PM Rajiv Gandhi's life ended as 'bhrashtachari No. 1,' he said, "Has Modi spoken the truth ever? He marketed lies and became Prime Minister in his previous term. He can't do the same this time," he said.
Meanwhile, the Congress candidate for Mysuru-Kodagu, Mr C.H. Vijayshankar said, “The statement of Mr G.T. Devegowda does not apply to the entire constituency. Basically the Congress has a strong base in this constituency. Now that the Congress and JD(S) have joined hands, my victory is cent percent confirmed. Workers of both parties have cooperated well while working for me,” he said.
