Half of the Congress leaders are on bail and the remaining in jail: Nadda
Koppal: BJP national president JP Nadda listed out the scams which he alleged took place during the Siddaramaiah government and mocked at the Congress for talking about corruption during the election campaign.
He was speaking at an election rally in Koppal on Friday.
“They speak about corruption. But I would like to tell you that scams like the Teachers recruitment scam, Arkavati scam, Malaprabha canal scam, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd scam, Slum development Scam, and BBMP Scam took place when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister of Karnataka and now they speak about corruption,” he said.
He continued his attack on other Congress leaders too.
“Rahul is on bail, Sonia Gandhi is on bail and DK Shivakumar is on bail. Half are on bail and half are in jail and they speak about corruption,” Nadda mocked.
He also demanded Siddaramaiah apologize for withdrawing cases against PFI during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
“In the election manifesto, the Congress speaks about banning PFI. Narendra Modi ji has already banned it and Amit Shah ji has enforced it. The Congress government under Siddaramaiah had withdrawn 175 cases of PFI and 1,600 activists who were in prison were released. Siddaramaiah should apologize to the people of Karnataka for this,” he said.
Nadda spoke on how the Modi’s double-engine government had strengthened the economy and given momentum to development in the region.
