CM KCR patronising bigger land sharks: Congress
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has brought in bigger land sharks into the picture through the Dharani website after abolishing the VRO system. Over 22 lakh farmers are yet to get their land documents despite the hype around the site, said M. Kodanda Reddy, Congress Kisan Cell vice-president, here on Monday.
Having not done anything to correct things for five years, Rao seems to have sensed in Nirmal his mistakes and is trying to apportion the blame onto the VROs by calling them corrupt. These land sharks are involved in fudging records. The biggest of them is Somesh Kumar, the blue-eyed boy of the Chief Minister, he said.
“Representation was given to Somesh Kumar by 25 of our leaders about alienation of assignment, bhoodan lands and others. He is yet to respond”, the senior Congress leader said.
Another senior Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar said, “When we say we will dump Dharani we mean we will bring in a better system in its place. We demand ₹25,000 be paid to each farmer facing crop losses.”
