Silence from Disgruntled BRS MLAs Raises Doubts on Party Cooperation

 Hyderabad: Disgruntled BRS MLAs Thatikonda Rajaiah and Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, who were nominated chairpersons with Cabinet rank on Thursday in lieu of Assembly tickets, stayed silent on Friday, raising questions on whether they would cooperate for the party's victory.

Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao late on Thursday had issued orders appointing Rajaiah as chairman of Telangana Rythu Bandhu Samithi and Yadigiri Reddy as TSRTC chairman.

Usually, leaders who get nominated posts meet Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao or minister K.T. Rama Rao to thank them on their appointment or issue a media statement.

With Rajaiah and Yadagiri Reddy doing neither, there is speculation in BRS circles that they were not happy with the party leadership even after getting Cabinet-rank posts and were keen to contest the polls.

When Deccan Chronicle contacted, Rajaiah said, "I am in Varanasi on a private visit. I will comment on this issue after I return." Yadagiri Reddy said, "I don't want to comment on this issue now. I will react on Saturday."
