Hyderabad: TRS leaders Mr Srinivas Reddy, Mr D. Vithal and Mr Upender on Monday complained to chief electoral officer Rajath Kumar, seeking action against V. Pratap Reddy, the Congress candidate for Gajwel Assembly Constituency, for making personal remarks against caretaker minister T. Harish Rao.

They also sought action against Swami Paripoornananda for “insulting and misleading” voters.

They said Mr Pratap Reddy has attempted to damage the image of Mr Harish Rao by alleging that the minister was in touch with Congress president Rahul Gandhi to defeat TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in Gajwel.

The TRS leaders also told the CEO that Swami Paripoornananda insulted the voters by saying that they would attend election meeting of any party if they were given Rs 200 each.
