K Chandrasekhar Rao is an opportunist and liar, thunders N Chandrababu Naidu
Mr Naidu said that in Kodad, the TRS will have to forfeit its deposit. He called on the people to remove the TRS from power.
Hyderabad: TD president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu predicted that after December 11, when the state election results will be declared, TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao would become the former chief minister.
Addressing a public meeting at Kodad on Wednesday with Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Mr Naidu said that Mr Rao was a blatant opportunist and even called him a liar.
He said that in Kodad, the TRS will have to forfeit its deposit. He called on the people to remove the TRS from power.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mr Rao have both become like dictators, he said, and added that he had joined hands with the Congress party in order to protect the country as dictators have no place in a democracy.
He said that TPCC working president and Kodangal Congress candidate A. Revanth Reddy was arrested after his bedroom door was broken down at midnight.
He alleged that votes for the TRS would be wasted votes because it was going to be defeated.
He reiterated the charge constantly made throughout the campaign that Mr Rao has colluded with Prime Minister Modi. During the day Mr Rao’s friendship is with the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) and at night with the BJP, Mr Naidu said, so a vote for the TRS or the MIM is a vote for the BJP.
Belittling Mr Rao’s government, Mr Naidu said it has failed to implement assurances such as free double-bedroom houses and drinking water for every household. To bring the Telangana administration back on track is something only the People’s Front can do, he said.
