Hyderabad: BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna said that the Congress was trying to protect the BRS by ordering a judicial probe into what she said was “the biggest corruption scandal in the country,” the Kaleshwaram project irregularities. She said the project cost had increased from Rs 63,000 crore to Rs 1.5 lakh crore. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had sought a CBI inquiry as TPCC president but was now going back on the demand and sought an explanation. She claimed the Congress government was delaying a probe into the sinking of piers at Medigadda and water seepage at Annaram.
