Do not harass poor, Asaduddin Owaisi tells corporators in Hyderabad
He asked the corporators to visit Dalit Bastis regularly and help make Hyderabad a beautiful city.
Hyderabad: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday warned the newly elected corporators of his party that if anyone among them harassed people in the course of their discharge of duties or otherwise, they would not get the party ticket for the second time.
While addressing the elected party corporators at Darussalam, he said the party would keep a watch on the performance of every corporator.
The second-time winners or third-time winners should not feel themselves to be “Teesmar Khans.” Asking the corporators to mingle freely with people by sharing their joys and sorrows, he said, “Don’t use town planning officers to mint money. Let poor men build their houses, don’t obstruct them thought the town planning officer.”
He asked the corporators to visit Dalit Bastis regularly and help make Hyderabad a beautiful city.
The party would hold monthly reviews on the performance of corporators. The party would hold a meeting either on February 9 or 10 to elect the party leader.
Mr Asaduddin Owaisi said the MIM would play the role of a constructive Opposition.
