Bengaluru: In a fresh challenge to state BJP chief, B S Yeddyurappa. around 24 unhappy BJP leaders, who met at the Legislators' Home on Monday, gave him until March 15 to re-do the party district office-bearers list.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, former minister, Sogadu Shivanna said there was  a growing feeling in the party that it was  becoming very individual centric and lacking in collective leadership. Calling Mr Yeddyurappa autocratic, he said, “Today our president has called a district units’ meeting at the party office, but without hearing their actual problems and reshuffling his team.”

Recalling that BJP national president, Amit Shah had constituted a committee to look into the organisational matters of the party in the state, he deplored that it had had  not met even once.

“And although Mr Shah asked a four member committee to submit a report  before February 10 on the mood among party workers, this too has not been done. As the committee has not heard the grievances of the district units, we have decided to tour them and collect the opinions of the district office bearers about  the internal problems in the party.  We will submit our report to the four member committee and if does not give us a hearing, we will meet the party central leadership,”, Mr. Shivanna warned.

Meanwhile, Mr. Yeddyurappa held a discussion with  party workers of the six districts of Chikkamagaluru, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur, Bagalkot and Vijayapura on Monday.
