Hyderabad: The TS YSRC Legislature Party was on Friday officially merged with the ruling TRS.

Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary approved the merger following which legislature secretary Raja Sadaram released a bulletin to this effect.

The YSRC had three MLAs in TS Assembly, all from Khammam district. While two MLAs, B. Madan Lal and Thati Venkateshwarlu had joined the TRS last year, MLA Payam Venkateshwarlu joined the ruling party recently.

YSRC Floor leader P. Venkateshwarlu gave a letter to the Speaker asking him to recognise them as TRS MLAs. Accordingly a bulletin was released on Friday, making the merger official.

Meanwhile, YSRC TS unit leaders, K.V Raghava Reddy and Sivakumar, on Friday termed the bulletin as unethical and unconstitutional.

They stated that even if all the members elected from one party join another party, it would still be an unconstitutional act.
