Bengaluru: Actor-turned-politician Jaggesh, who is contesting from Yeshwanthpur constituency under BJP ticket, has assured voters that he shall work more than sitting MLA Somashekar

The actor campaigned at Ullal, Upanagara and other areas on Saturday and started his campaign by visiting Shri Varasiddhi Vinayaka temple. Addressing people from an open vehicle, Jaggesh said, “It is expertise which matters more than experience.” While BJP activists alleged that sitting MLA Somashekhar was buying votes,  some of the residents whom DC spoke to disagreed. “The area is known for its productivity and revenue generation and since most of us are educated, we don’t support such acts ever,” said Shane Jacob, a resident of Yeshwanthpur.

“Industrialization of the area has led to the influx of migrant workers. Only 60 % of the residents vote, while the rest remain potential voters,” said Mithun a resident of Yeshwanthpur.

The residents complained that excessive focus on developing industrial areas has led to neglect towards developing residential areas.
