Hyderabad: Telangana CLP leader K. Jana Reddy has called on party workers and pe-ople not to believe leaders who were changing parties to secure posts.

The statement became a point of discussion, with Congress leaders wondering if Mr Jana Reddy had made a general statement or had hinted specifically at a particular leader. Mr A. Revanth Reddy, for instance, has joined the Congress recently and has said that his aim was to become Chief Minister.

Mr Jana Reddy has said several times that he was the most eligible leader in the party to become Chief Minister.

Mr Jana Reddy, who is touring his Nagarjunasagar constituency, said the ruling party leaders were claiming credit for development work which had been taken up by the previous Congress governments.

He said that in every work taken up by the TRS government had the Congress’ ‘hand’.

He said that according to the wishes of the people of the state, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had granted a separate state. He said that if anyone spoke poorly of the Congress, the party would not tolerate it.

AICC tells all office-bearers to register with Shakti app

Any office-bearer of the Congress who does not register with the Shakti platform laun-ched by the AICC for communicating with party workers will not be considered during reorganisation of the party. The AICC has sent a circular to all PCCs to this effect.

AICC president Rahul Gandhi had launched the Shakti platform recently. It will be the primary system for the organisation department of the AICC to store information of all party workers and office-bearers. The AICC said that it was very important, and mandatory, for all recognised office-bearers to register with Shakti. The AICC said that communications and announcements would be sent electronically only to those registered with Shakti.

The AICC made it clear any office-bearer who would not register with Shakti would not be considered for any kind of recognition in the party. The AICC has directed all PCCs to tell each of the office-bearers to register with Shakti.
