Union Minister Accuses AP Govt of Ignoring Central Support

Vijayawada: Union minister of state (MoS) Bharati Pravin Pawar on Wednesday accused state government of ignoring the federal spirit and not acknowledging the huge financial support being extended by centre to Andhra Pradesh for implementing various welfare schemes and developmental projects in the state.

Speaking to the media here, she asserted that BJP is ready to face ensuing elections in Andhra Pradesh by informing people how much the Narendra Modi government has done for the nation and AP in particular during the last nine years of its rule.

Bharati said their government has accorded top priority to several welfare schemes and developmental programmes in the name of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas”. She said nearly 80 crore people in the country are benefitting from the welfare schemes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including free distribution of rice to poor under Garib Kalyan Yojana and fulfilling the dream of families to have their own house by sanctioning ₹3 lakh to each beneficiary family.

The Union minister criticised the YSRC government for changing the names of several central schemes and claiming credit for them.

In this context, AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju said several central ministers will tour AP, including union home minister Amit Shah, who will address a public meeting in Visakhapatnam, while BJP national president J.P. Nadda will hold a public meeting

in Tirupati, Devi Singh Chouhan in Kurnool and Hindupur, and Muralidharan in Rajahmundry.

Referring to TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu meeting Amit Shah recently in New Delhi, Veerraju said there is nothing wrong in leaders of a state meeting central functionaries. He maintained that state leaders do not have any information about the meeting.
