Congress gears up for CWC meeting on September 16, 17
Hyderabad: TPCC senior leaders who held a meeting with Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal are said to have been given specific directions for party programmes ahead of polls.
“Leaders need to work hard to bring the party into power and we have every chance to come to power. After the success of Khammam meeting we should not leave any stone unturned to make the CWC meet on September 16h and the public meeting on September 17th a success,” Venugopal said.
Leaders thanked the AICC for providing the chance to hold the CWC in Hyderabad instead of states where the party is in power. Earlier in the day, Venugopal inspected the Gachibowli stadium and an open place in Tukkuguda as the possible venue for the public meeting. Those who visited the sites include State Congress incharge Manikrao Thakre, TPCC state president a. Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others.
The leaders will embark on a visit to the 119 Assembly constituencies along with senior Congress leaders to release a chargesheet against the BRS government on September 18.
The party has already sought permission to hold the meetings in LB Stadium and Parade Grounds. The venue will be decided by the party high command.
Those who attended the meeting include former PAC members, former MPs, former ministers and heads of affiliated organisations.
