BJP demands AP government start paddy purchases

Vijayawada: BJP AP president Daggubati Purandeswari has urged the state government to purchase the paddy grains that were affected by the recent rains at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). She also demanded the government provide financial support to the farmers. She said that the government should provide financial aid to the affected farmers, including those who cultivated on assigned lands but lost their crops due to the Michaung cyclone.

Purandeswari further added  that the government should  conduct crop enumeration and make the details public. She expressed her dissatisfaction with the government’s failure to disclose the details of crop-insured farmers.
