AP Regressed in 30 years, Hyderabad is Progressing: Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has observed that Andhra Pradesh has regressed by 30 years under the YSR Congress government while Hyderabad is progressing.
“Amaravati would also have flourished if the TD government continued in power,” Naidu said while addressing a public meeting organised under the name Ra Kadali Ra in Tiruvuru of NTR district on Sunday.
Reiterating that his sole intention was to take the Telugu community to the “number one” position globally, he said that however, due to the “inefficient rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy,” AP has gone back by 30 years.
Calling upon all the people to come together to save Andhra Pradesh, Naidu expressed confidence that the Telugu community will in due course of time “grow to the level of commanding the whole world.”
“On the other hand, Amaravati lost its glow due to the misrule of Jagan Reddy. This is the primary reason why the 'Raa Kadaliraa' programme has been taken up by the Telugu Desam, which aimed at the “welfare of five crore Andhraites.”
He said, "Hyderabad is now shining because of the foundation that I have laid for Cyberabad, the erection of the Outer Ring Road and the international airport."
Claiming that “every individual is a victim of Jagan, including myself,” Chandrababu said that every leader in the state had to go to the police stations under Jagan Reddy’s police raj. “The time has come to bid goodbye to this disastrous rule. It is the bad luck of the state that a person who does not know the difference between tomato and potato has become the chief minister.”
Naidu said AP is in the ‘number one’ position in debts while in the third position vis-a-vis farmers suicides. “Had the Polavaram been completed, every acre in the state would have got the irrigation facility,” he said.
The TD chief promised to complete the Chintalapudi Lift irrigation scheme. The TDP-Jana Sena government will take the responsibility to complete the other irrigation projects like Muktyala and Pittalagudem too, he said.
Asking the gathering whether Jagan Reddy has promised to implement total prohibition or not, Chandrababu said the CM minted Rs 25,000 crore through illicit liquor deals. "We are bringing the Super Six in the name of Babu Surety-Bhavishaythuku Guarantee and I will personally take the responsibility to implement all these schemes."
