Apart from Sonia Gandhi, CPI general secretary D Raja and CPM leader Seetharam Yechury have also replied to Stalin
Chennai: Several national leaders have responded positively to the call given by Chief Minister M K Stalin to join the All India Federation for Social Justice that he proposed to launch and replied to his letter.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, to whom DMK treasurer and Leader of the party in the Lok Sabha T R Baalu handed over the letter personally, has evinced interest in the move and appointed Veerappa Moily to represent her part in the federation.
Apart from Sonia Gandhi, CPI general secretary D Raja and CPM leader Seetharam Yechury have also replied to Stalin. While Raja said that he and his organization would like to be part of it, Yechury congratulated the Chief Minister for the initiative.
Both the Communist leaders had evinced interest in discussing the modalities for taking forward the movement later.
Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has written a long letter sharing Stalin’s concerns and saying that she appreciated the initiative and assured the cooperation and support of her party.
‘In the past three years not a single day goes by when our people aren’t humiliated, punished and disempowered by GOI under the pretext of national integration by passing new laws and policies unilaterally,’ she said.
