Kerala Assembly Election: Video to grab voters' hearts
A digital marketing team based in Technopark is expected to take over Nikesh Kumar's marketing over social media sites.
Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF candidate in Azhikode, M. V. Nikesh Kumar is reaching out to his young voters through a one minute video, “Good Morning Azhikode” where he talks about various issues plaguing the constituency.
Every day his team posts one video to highlight various issues being faced by the beach goers in Azhikode beach, at the folklore academy and Pappinisseri Government hospital, apart from traffic problems to garner the support of netizens.
He knows that he is all the more under the media glare and has assigned a couple of tech savvy local youths to upload his latest pictures and videos of his campaign. His Facebook page has surpassed close to 86,000 likes and more than 97, 000 plus people talking about him.
A digital marketing team based in Technopark is expected to take over Nikesh Kumar’s marketing over social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Whats App. The IT company is already experienced in handling the election campaign of footballer Baichung Bhutia who is contesting in the West Bengal elections.
“Along with reaching youngsters in the constituency I want to reach the masses who are facing a plethora of issues. When I started my campaigning, I felt that the local population talked of just roads and bridges when it came to development. I wish to bring ‘change’ by taking up issues in the handloom sector as Kannur is known as the city of ‘looms and lores’ and Azhikode has a sizable population of handloom workers”, said Mr. Nikesh Kumar.
