Congress, NR, Dravidian parties let Pondy down: Prakash Javadekar
He slammed the Congress party, pointing to the CWG scam, 2G spectrum scam.
Puducherry: Union environment minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Congress, NR Congress and the Dravidian parties who ruled Puducherry, have not been able to provide good governance in the Union Territory.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Javadekar, who is the party in-charge for the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, said that Puducherry did not witness any growth during the past years. “All these parties are competing each other to become the 'more' corrupt one, People here are seeking a change and they aspire for a corruption-free government “ he said.
He slammed the Congress party, pointing to the CWG scam, 2G spectrum scam and the mammoth coal scam and saying that people voted NR Congress for a change but they were not able to fulfil the wishes of people.
“The weaving mills which were the shining face of Puducherry once were closed and both Congress and AINRC governments were not even able to pay the salary of the employees” said the BJP leader. He added that BJP, if voted to power, will ensure jobs for everyone so all can live with self respect.
Mr Javedkar said that Home minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president Amit Shah will participate in election campaigning in the state in coming days. Earlier, the union minister inaugurated the the BJP website for the upcoming assembly election.
