Kiran Bedi, minister Kandasamy continue to trade charges
At the same time Mr Kandasamy reiterated his stance and said that the Lt Governor continues to function in a way to defame the Congress government.
Puducherry: War of words continued in Puducherry over various developmental projects. Lt Governor Kiran Bedi lashed out against minister M. Kandasamy for allegedly making false allegations against her.
“A red line of tolerance is drawn. An opportunity for the insinuators to stop hiding real facts. Else more will come, “ Bedi said.
At the same time Mr Kandasamy reiterated his stance and said that the Lt Governor continues to function in a way to defame the Congress government.
Earlier the minister had raised allegations against Ms Bedi saying she is trying to object developmental projects in Puducherry including port development project and air way resumption project.
She then warned the government that she will reveal more stories of financial irregularities related to the air way reviving projects which was avoided only because of the intervention of LG 's secretariat.
“Chief Minister, ministers and legislators were concerned on the development of Puducherry. But someone who came here from another state (referring to LG) pretends to be concerned on the development of Puducherry and functioning in such a way to stall development projects,” said the minister while talking to mediapersons after garlanding the statue of poet Vanidasan to pay homage on his death anniversary.
Joining hands with the minister in the ongoing debate AIADMK leader in the House, A. Anbazhagan said that Ms Bedi should not level charges against politicians without proper evidence.
“The Lt Governor had reportedly said that the port project is a 'duck laying golden eggs' to politicians and officials. Such charges cannot be made without proper evidence,” he said.
“Even if there is corruption proper enquiry should be conducted instead of raising charges of corruption,” he said.
