Kakinada MLA warns TD leaders of backlash
It is not a crime to visit foreign countries like Ivory Coast for our business purposes, the MLA said
KAKINADA: Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy threatened his critics once again with dire consequences.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said “I am not Mahatma Gandhi to show the other cheek. I was not in the city when Telugu Desam leader K. Pattabhi and others made allegations against me and some reputed businessmen. I will not tolerate such baseless charges and will not allow TD leaders and TV channels to mar the image of the city and that of Kakinada Port. If they have any proof they should immediately show it’’ he said.
He said that all stories about drug trafficking from Kakinada are fabricated.
“It is not a crime to visit foreign countries like Ivory Coast for our business purposes. TD leaders like Pattabhi are raising hue and cry about my visit to Ivory Coast. I was there for the construction of some warehouses,” he said.
He said that the TD leaders should not bark like stray dogs. “I know how to deal with such dogs’’ he said. He said that TD leaders are dragging fishermen also in boat-burning incidents.
Chandrasekhara Reddy said that some journalists were blackmailing businessmen. “If they continue such tactics, they will be beaten black and blue,” he warned.
