BRS Govt Failed to Solve Even basic Issues in Hyderabad: Kishen Reddy
Hyderabad: The Union Minister and BJP state Chief G Kishan Reddy on Sunday alleged that the ruling BRS government failed to provide basic amenities to people residing in Hyderabad city.
The Union Minister on Sunday participated in several programmes held at different places in the city. Kishan Reddy took measures in solving the 30 years long issue of the road located at Satyanagar of Lalapet by consulting the Railway Ministry. The residents of Satya Nagar, Indira Nagar, Sripuri Colony, Lakshmi Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Chandrababu Nagar and the people of the colony felicitated the Union Minister for completion of the road.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said that there was a road problem even before he became an MP. During the election campaign for Parliament, I visited the place and people brought the issue to my notice. But, construction of roads and temples within railway property is not an easy task. I called rail roko and faced a legal battle for eight years. Being a union Minister,, I requested Railway department officials and solved the road issue," Kishan Reddy said.
The Union Minister said that at least 30 percent of the population of our Telangana state is in Hyderabad. The state government has completely failed to solve the problems of the people of Hyderabad. Thousands of colonies lack proper roads, sanitation, drinking water and other facilities.
"Thousands of applications have been received by the government for two bedroom houses.. But, the government only provided a few houses. However, the BJP government at Centre provided huge funds for Telangana's development. The BJP government took up modernisation of railway stations spending huge funds. The Regional Ring Road was sanctioned allocating Rs 26,000 crores," Kishan Reddy said.
In another programme, Union Minister Kishan Reddy inaugurated the mega medical camp organised under Seva Bharti at Amberpet on Sunday. Kishan Reddy said that the BJP government sanctioned Rs 7 crore for construction of hostel buildings in Osmania University. The BJP government is going to take up the construction of tracks to improve the sports with about Rs 14 crore.
The ESI hospital has increased many facilities in hospitals in our state. 50 percent of the seats in the medical college were reserved for the children of workers. The BJP government improved facilities in Gandhi, Osmania, Railway Hospitals. The Central government has given large scale funds for infrastructure facilities like primary centers as well as Basti health centers.
