Jagan to blow conch for 2024 Kurukshetra Yuddham at mega meeting of YSRC
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to blow the conch for the mega Election-2024 campaign, termed as a ‘Kurukshetra Yuddham’ by the YSRC.
Jagan Reddy will be laying the roadmap and giving guidance to his party representatives at the mega meeting here on Monday. He, as party chief, would assign responsibilities to party leaders from mandal to state levels, including the YSRC legislators.
The chief minister has said the meeting is crucial as only a few months are left for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. He would be revealing the new poll strategies of the YSRC to its leaders and getting them into active mode with immediate effect.
Jagan Reddy already has been interacting with top party cadres including legislators for the past year. Now, he aims to also activate the second rung and rural cadres who are crucial in poll management.
Party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna said the meeting on Monday would discuss ways to highlight both the developmental and welfare programmes of the YSRC government to enable people to have a better grasp of these endeavours of the Jagan-led government in the past four years.
He said all the party representatives especially at the mandal level will interact with the CM at the meeting. Jagan Reddy as party chief would deliver his speech after blowing the conch, signalling the start of the ‘Kurukshetra Yuddham of 2024’, and guide the rank and file of the party as to how the fight should be waged.
Ramakrishna said, “The Jagananna Arogya Suraksha is an opportunity for every family to stay healthy at a time when healthcare services are expensive. The chief minister will explain how to reverse the malicious propaganda and misinformation campaign being done by the opposition and its media against the government. We would also contemplate how to sharpen the welfare programmes.”
Also, we would discuss how to check TD’s attempts to portray Chandrababu as a revolutionary and a patriot even as he is arrested in a corruption case, Sajjala said.
He recalled that the MLAs and the in-charges of the constituency are already participating in the Gadapa Gapadapaku Mana Prabhutvam mass outreach programme and explaining to the people about the welfare schemes and reforms being implemented by the government. They have visited 1.60 crore houses so far, he said.
Housing minister Jogi Ramesh, in charge of the party's affiliated departments Chevireddy Bhaskar, coordinator of CM’s programmes Talashila Raghuram and MLC Lella Appireddy were present at the IGMC stadium on Sunday to oversee the meeting arrangements.
