TD criticising Jagan has no meaning: Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
He said that YSRC would continue to fight for Special Status for AP.
Hyderabad: Opposition YSR Congress has observed that the public response to the YSRC’s Jai Andhra Pradesh public meeting in Visakhapatnam on Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh has sent jitters in the ruling TD camp.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, YSR Congress leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said that “scared by the tremendous response to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public meeting, the TD woke up with the criticism of our leader.”
Instead, the TD leadership should give a proper reply as to why it could not get the SCS. There is nothing special about the package and we have told many times and will be telling many more times.
“TD ministers criticising our leader has no meaning as they are on the wrong foot,” he said, adding, “Our leader has given a call that the slogan Jai Andhra Pradesh should spread from Visakhapatnam. The TD trying to find fault on this count is meaningless. What our leader said there was that the share value of Heritage Foods has increased manifold while the standard of living of the people has fallen. A rejoinder comes from the corporate house without considering the social implications mentioned by Jagan Mohan Reddy.”
He also said that YSRC would continue to fight for Special Status for AP.
“TD leaders criticising Jagan for not training his guns on Prime Minister Narender Modi should note that it was our leader who had held a dharna there seeking SCS while CM Chandrababu Naidu compromised the state’s interest on various issues relating to the Central help, including the SCS,” he said.
