Visakhapatnam: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram has said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagasn Mohan Reddy is the only hope for the poor in AP.

Addressing a public meeting in his home constituency of Amadalavalasa in Srikakulam district on Tuesday, the Speaker said a major transformation had taken place for AP under Chief Minister Jagan's governance. The people have recognised CM Jagan Mohan Reddy as a beacon of hope,” he claimed.

The Speaker said,” Just like the people in other parts of AP, those in Amadalavalasa want to thank CM Jagan for fulfilling their hopes and aspirations and looking after them just like his own family.”

He urged the people to vote for the YSRC and symbolically referred to the ‘pressing the button on the fan symbol’ as “a way to clear their debts and problems, and usher in prosperity.”

Revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao lauded Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sense of accountability and commitment to fulfilling his promises. He underlined the government's efforts to bridge social gaps and improve living conditions, particularly among the backward communities.

“CM Jagan is the only leader in this country who delivers on his word. He has earned a reputation for fulfilling 99 per cent of his 2019 manifesto promises. Unlike Chandrababu Naidu, who has cheated the people repeatedly, CM Jagan has delivered on whatever he had promised from the day he assumed office.” Dharmana Prasada claimed.

He also criticised the opposition arguments against making Visakhapatnam the capital, and said, “The TD leaders do not want further development of Visakhapatnam and they want to promote their own business interests in Hyderabad.”

He urged the public to support the YSRC government in view of its dedication to the welfare of the people.

Minister Seediri Appalaraju also spoke about the improvements brought about by Chief Minister Jagan Reddy in fields such as education and healthcare. He drew a sharp contrast between Jagan's actions and those of the previous administration.

The minister challenged the opposition to prove their commitment to the region. He also mentioned about the CM’s initiatives in creating local job opportunities, such as the construction of  the Mulapeta Port, which “helped curb youth migration to other states for work.”

Former deputy chief minister and Narasannapeta MLA Dharmana Krishndas expressed his confidence in the YSRCP's ability to win the assembly elections. He raised the slogan of 175/175 and challenged the opposition to contest from all seats. “Victory is ours,” he claimed.

Adding to the tirade, YSRCP SC Cell president Jupudi Prabhakar criticised Chandrababu, accusing him of “abusing political power during his 14-year rule and looting the people of the state.”
