Born on July 3, 1956, Dr Laxman grew from an ABVP activist to become Hyderabad city president and a two-time MLA.
Hyderabad: BJP Floor leader in the Assembly K. Laxman was on Friday appointed the new TS BJP president, replacing G. Kishan Reddy. The party’s national leadership appointed Dr Laxman along with presidents of Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab units.
“I accepted the post as per the wishes of my party leadership. I thank them for reposing faith in me,” he said, adding that his goal was to make the TS BJP a viable alternative to the TRS.
Dr Laxman said that the BJP would pressurise the TRS to implement its election manifesto and in case of failure, would go to people to expose it. Born on July 3, 1956, Dr Laxman grew from an ABVP activist to become Hyderabad city president and a two-time MLA.
