Defeat Dhinakaran for cash distribution, says MK Stalin
Lashing out both the AIADMK factions, he asserted that his party would record a big win in the bypoll.
Chennai: With just two more days remaining for the close of poll campaign in RK Nagar bypoll, DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Saturday criss-crossed the constituency charging AIADMK (Amma) candidate T.T.V. Dhinakaran with distributing cash for votes and appealing to people to teach a lesson to him.
Lashing out both the AIADMK factions, he asserted that his party would record a big win in the bypoll. Hitting out at former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam for using the replica of a coffin with former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's figurine, he also stepped up attacks on AIADMK (Amma) candidate T.T.V. Dhinakaran, charging him with distributing Rs 4,000 for every vote in the constituency.
Stalin moved through the arterial roads of RK Nagar in his vehicle seeking votes for his party candidate N. Marudhu Ganesh, as party cadre showered flowers from the sides, rooftops and balconies. He stopped the vehicle frequently to shake hands with eager people who were queued up on either side of the roads at Amman Koil street, Vinayagapuram, Kasimedu and Power Kuppam.Stalin's campaign lifted the spirit of party cadre, complaining of lack of co-ordination and proper arrangements including vehicles and police permission for speakers from the headquarters.
