Hyderabad: A meeting of AICC incharge Manikrao Thakre with PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy and state party vice-presidents and general secretaries on Saturday decided to intensify the ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ campaign against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification on ground and through social media.

As part of preparedness for the elections, the PCC leadership allocated almost all the constituencies in the state to party functionaries. “We have to work restlessly, as the next  eight months are crucial. Those who were given responsibility should work dedicatedly. All the leaders should take active part and forcefully present the argument in the media. They should be able to expose both BJP and BRS parties,” said A. Revanth Reddy.

A few months back, 17 vice-presidents and 62 general secretaries from a total of 24 and 86 respectively were given responsibilities. “The remaining were now accommodated in this meeting. The ratio stands at two Assembly segments for each general secretary and 1 Parliamentary constituencies for a vice-president and for the working presidents three to four Parliamentary constituencies,” informed a leader.

Apart from this the party decided to finalise the list of leaders who volunteer to campaign in the Karnataka Assembly elections. “The important leaders interested in campaigning will be given each Assembly constituency to campaign for the local leaders contesting in these elections,” the leader added.
