Kothapalli likely to join Desam
He will leave the party on the pretext of expressing dissidence with the party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Kakinada: The YSRC is getting yet another shock as the party West Godavari president Kothapalli Subbarayudu is likely to join ruling TD soon.
He has been holding discussions with followers in his constituency since the last two days who say that CM invited Mr Subbarayudu to the party. He will leave the party on the pretext of expressing dissidence with the party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Knowing that Mr Subbarayudu may leave the party, the party West Godavari in-charge and MLC Pilli Subhashchan-dra Bose rushed to the district and tried to phone him. But he did not respond to Mr Bose's phone cal-ls. Later, Mr Bose, who convened a meeting with the party district leaders, said that he didn't think that Mr Subbarayudu would join TD as he was a committed worker and a leader in YSRC. He pleaded with him not to quit the party. If he wants to join TD, he should re-think his decision, Mr Bose said in an appeal to the defecting member.
The party also fielded another YSRC leader Jakkampudi Vijayalakshmi to ho-ld discussions with Mr Subbarayudu, who is a relative of hers, but in vain.
Meanwhile, Mr Subbarayudu levelled strong criticism against CM regarding corruption being rife in TD government and its failure to bring the 'Special Status' tag to AP.
