Police bid to save gangrape accused failed: Bandi
TS BJP chief accuses police of conniving with the accused
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday said all efforts by the Hyderabad police to bury the Jubilee Hills gang rape of a minor girl failed with the truth finally prevailing thanks to the perseverance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanding justice for the victim.
Sanjay said that despite the best efforts of the police to save the culprits, they failed to do so.
Even the efforts of the DCP who first gave a clean chit to the son of an MLA failed as the son was finally named as an accused in the case, Bandi said.
He also charged the police with conniving with the accused in the case to clean up the vehicle in which the crime was committed.
“The servicing of the vehicle was done by the police to erase evidence. They delayed every action to give time to the accused to clear themselves. The police also delayed recording the victim’s statement before a magistrate in time,” Bandi said.
