PM likely to visit Telangana in October

The plea for visits of both the PM and the BJP chief came up for discussion during the Telangana BJP committee meeting.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to visit Telangana state in October and BJP president Amit Shah in September. Mr Modi has not visited the new state so far, and the issue was repeatedly raised in public by the TRS government and minister K.T. Rama Rao in particular.

The plea for visits of both the PM and the BJP chief came up for discussion during the Telangana BJP committee meeting in New Delhi on Friday, but the main focus of the talks was on strengthening the party at all levels in ways as to be able to capture power in 2019 elections.
