HYDERABAD: The time immemorial Sanatan Dharma is all set to come in handy for the BJP in its new age battle of politics with the party deciding to attack Chief Minister and BRS party president K Chandrashekar Rao, and the Congress party as it seeks to regain lost ground in Telangana, along with mounting an offensive on the AIMIM party.

On Friday, state BJP president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, addressing a meeting of the party’s state executive, called on his BJP colleagues to “unite people against forces seeking to undermine Sanatan Dharma. KCR doesn’t care about Hindu culture. He once said ‘Hindugallu Bondagallu’, and now, he stays silent on Tamil Nadu Minister Udayanidhi Stalin’s call to destroy Sanatan Dharma, which means putting an end to existence of Hindus.”

He also said in the past, “Akbaruddin Owaisi said if he is given 15 minutes, he will ensure there are no Hindus left in India. The efforts of BRS, Congress, aided by AIMIM to undermine Sanatan Dharma must be repelled.”

He said: “It appears that KCR is possessed by the Nizam and is acting like his descendent and is acting like he is the ninth Nizam. It was the Nizams who tried to destroy our culture in Telangana, and now under KCR, the state’s economy has been destroyed and under his rule, corruption, misuse of funds, family rule, and dictatorial governance have reached heights unknown previously.”

He also called on people to join in the Telangana Liberation Day celebrations on September 17 at the Parade Grounds in Hyderabad, and to also celebrate the day in every village in the state.

The meeting, attended by senior state party leaders and Rajya Sabha member Prakash Javadekar in charge of Telangana elections, and co in-charge and general secretary Sunil Bansal, also unanimously condemned the comments being made attacking Sanatan Dharma. The meeting also chalked out a series of programmes for the party till October.
