Tension in Kusumanchi as TRS groups clash
Sekhar's supporters camped in the premises of MPDO office while the Vasamsetti group was outside
KHAMMAM: The rivalry among TRS leaders in the Palair Assembly segment spilled into the open and took an ugly turn here on Friday. It happened at the mandal praja parishad office in Kusumanchi where tension prevailed for a while when members from the two groups pelted stones at one another.
This is the time that rivalry in the ruling party has surfaced in Kusumanchi.
According to available details, the MPP meeting was graced by ZPTC Inturi Baby, wife of Inturi Sekhar, DCCB director and Rajupet sarpanch Vasamsetti Aruna, wife of Vasamsetty Venkateswarlu, Kusumanchi PACS chairman. Sekhar and Vasamsetti, who are loyal to MLA Kandala Upender Reddy, were also present along with their supporters.
Sekhar’s supporters camped in the premises of MPDO office while the Vasamsetti group was outside. They started accusing each other, which developed into stone-pelting. There was respite when a police team, led by circle inspector Satyanarayana Reddy, arrived and pacified the warring factions.
Interestingly, Kandala Upender Reddy is abroad. Meanwhile, the MPP meeting was held as per schedule and without any further disturbance.
