Karimnagar: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, who is bidding for his fifth straight win from Sircilla, filed his nomination papers on Thursday.

Speaking after the event, Rao said that Sircilla had given him his political life. He said that it was because of the blessings of the Sircilla people that he was able to become MLA and minister. He dwelt in detail about the constituency’s enormous development that had propelled it to the top of the ladder.

People of Sircilla faced a lot of problems as there was no development and infrastructure facilities were abysmal under the earlier governments, he said.

“After being elected from here, I have managed to transform Sircilla, to the utmost delight of the locals. I will send a progress report about the developmental activities that I have taken up for every household. The BJP and Congress leaders must show what they did for Sircilla,” he said.

How can people of the state tolerate when BJP leaders from Gujarat and Congress leaders from Delhi launch unsubstantiated tirades against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who has been striving for the state’s all-round development.

People should decide whether they want 24 hours of power or a Congress rule that is bent on stopping the supply of uninterrupted power or they want a BJP government that is engineering a communal divide, the BRS working president said.

Once the state administration is handed over to either of them then they will not get a chance to regret their decision, he cautioned the people.

Electing the BRS, which is like their own party, to power will help in resolving all their problems and continuation of welfare schemes and several developmental activities, he added.
