KURNOOL: Kurnool MP Butta Renuka, who had shifted allegiance to TDP, was accused of not voicing the concerns of people in Parliament against the injustice done to AP in the recent budget allocations. Neither was she seen inside or outside Parliament over the past week when the issue picked up.

Asked about it, Butta Renuka said she was “pro-testing from her allocated place in Parliament.” She agreed that she did not go into the well of the house as some TDP MPs did.

Asked about the mood in New Delhi over the injustice, she said that every other political party was sympathetic to the cause of the State. Members cutting across the parties were showing concern  which was a great morale booster to their cause.

When asked what assurances TDP members could hope to get from Modi government, Renuka said that most of the cabinet ministers also expressed their solidarity for the need to allocate funds to help the newly carved out state.
