Kalaburagi: The state's coalition government could be in for more trouble with former minister, Baburao Chinchansur, claiming on Saturday that rebel Congress legislator from Chincholi, Dr Umesh Jadhav would resign from the Assembly by Monday and contest as a BJP candidate from Kalaburagi in the coming Lok Sahba poll.

Speaking to reporters  in Yadagir, Mr Chinchansur, who recently quit the Congress, said he was confident Dr Jadhav could defeat senior Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge in Kalaburagi by over a lakh votes.  "My only aim is to see Mr Kharge's rout in the coming election as his passion for shaping the  political career of his son has ruined the political careers of many prominent leaders from the area. After Malikayya Guttedar, Qamarul Islam and Baburao Chinchansur, now it's the turn of Dr Jadhav to rise in revolt against the dynasty politics being perpetuated by Mr Kharge," he maintained, adding that Dr Jadhav had decided to quit the Congress and join the BJP to put an end to the senior leader's "unbearable politics."

"Mr Kharge, who spoiled  the careers of so many leaders to safeguard the future of his son, needs to be taught a lesson and he will definitely be taught one," Mr Chinchansur asserted.

Declaring that the campaign for  the senior Congress leader's ouster would begin from the Gurmitkal constituency, from where he was elected for nine consecutive terms, the former minister said state BJP  chief, B S Yeddyurappa would be asked to flag off the campaign from the constituency soon.
