Volunteer system playing big role in welfare schemes: Y.V. Subba Reddy
VISAKHAPATNAM: Ruling YSRC leaders led by the party’s regional coordinator for north Andhra, Y.V. Subba Reddy, district in-charge minister Vidadala Rajini and MLA and former minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao have campaigned for the party's MLC candidate, Seethamraju Sudhakar, in Bhimili constituency on Thursday.
Addressing a meeting in the NRI Engineering College, Subba Reddy said the volunteer system introduced by the YSRC government was the first of its kind in the history of this country. This helped the government take the welfare schemes to the doorsteps of the poor across AP, he said.
Subba Reddy urged the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by voting for Seethamraju Sudhakar.
District in-charge minister Vidadala Rajini said people remembered the services of former chief minister late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy who extended the Aarogyasri health services to all corners of the state. Jagan Mohan Reddy strengthened the scheme by adding more services to it, she said.
Former minister and Bheemili MLA Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said the Chief Minister was making all-out efforts to develop Visakhapatnam. The recently-concluded Global Investors Summit was one such. A lot of industries would come up in the region in the near future, giving huge scope for employment, he said.
The MLA urged the voters to give their first preferential vote to Sudhakar, who, he said, would be “playing a key role in the development of Visakhapatnam.”
