Scores from BRS join Congress from Rajendranagar constituency
HYDERABAD: Scores of people from BRS on Sunday joined the Congress from Rajendranagar constituency in the presence of PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy at an event held at his residence in Jubilee Hills.
While welcoming the BRS politicians, most of whom were from Manikonda, Revanth Reddy felt that despite Narsingi, Manchirevula and Rajendranagar constituencies generating most of the revenue, they remained amongst the most neglected by the government. Referring to the incidents where lakes and public property were being encroached upon by land sharks, Revanth Reddy alleged that the state government was overlooking them.
“Police stations, municipal and revenue offices have turned into hubs for shady deals. KCR remains more focused on generating revenue than the welfare activities of citizens,” he said, referring to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
“It is high time that KCR is unseated. Rajendranagar will witness the victory of Congress this time. The party will ensure those who stood by it during tough times get due recognition,” he added.
