Artistes to give cultural prop to Pinarayi Vijayan

Kannur: At least 200 artists will come down to CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan’s constituency on Tuesday to declare that Kerala’s cultural world is with him.
The five-hour long musical-cultural programme titled, “Vijayapadham’ will unfold at the Abu-Chathukutty stadium at Dharmadam at 5 pm. “The programme aims at carrying the message that Kerala’s cultural heart is yearning for a leftist government,” said Pramod Payyanur, the programme director.

Writer T. Padmanabhan will be the chief guest. A slew of programmes including a musical show by M. Jayachandran, ONV tribute by Ouseppachan, Kalabhavan Mani tribute by Nadirsha and team, gazal feast by Ramesh Narayan and daughter Madhushree Narayan and comedy show by Kottayam Naseer and team will come on stage.

The who’s who of the industry, Shaji N. Karun, Lenin Rajendran, Ranji Panicker, B. Unnikrishnan, Madhupal, Kaithapram Damodaran Namboodiri, Jayaraj Warrior, singers P. Madhuri, Rimi Tomi, Sithara, P.K Medini, Manjari and yesteryear singer Machad Vasanthi will participate and perform.

Folk songs led by C.J Kuttappan, Mappilapattu by Eranjoli Moosa and choreography by Firoz Khan are other attractions.  Swaralaya is organising the programme which would witness Mr Vijayan felicitating various award winners.
