New Delhi: In a major embarrassment to BJP, its party MLA, Vijendra Gupta on Friday stood on the bench in protest against the Speaker for allegedly not giving him a chance to speak when the assembly session was in progress.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was seen chuckling in the Assembly, called it a “shocking” event.

According to reports, Ram Niwas, the Speaker termed the episode shameful. "What a shame. I do not remember another time that a member stood on his bench this way," the Speaker Ram Niwas said, adding, "You hijack all the time of the House."
