Modi Read Script, Failed To Announce Pro-People Schemes: Palla Rajeshwar
HYDERABAD: Rythu Bandhu Samithi president Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, a BRS MLC, on Sunday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of reading out a script given by party leaders at the Warangal meeting on Saturday, instead of making announcements for the people.
“The PM, who shifted the railway coach factory to Gujarat, laid the foundation stone for a repair unit in Warangal. There was no announcement on tribal university, steel plant at Bayyaram etc. What has he done about the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh? Did the people not reject the BJP owing to their corruption in that state? If the BRS is riddled with corruption, would people vote for us for the second time?” he asked.
Levelling a series of allegations, Reddy asked, “Is the Centre not troubling the Opposition using I-T, CBI and ED? Modi has mismanaged the economy and only benefitted Adani and Ambani. What happened to the promised two crore jobs for youth? Public sector companies are being privatised left, right and centre.”
Rajeshwar Reddy also questioned if the Prime Minister was ready for a debate on vacancies in the Centre and governments in BJP-ruled states. “The BJP is behind the leakage of question papers. We have, so far, given 2.2 lakh jobs since 2014. Nine lakh jobs were created in the IT sector in Hyderabad. Look at the state GDP then and now. The per capita income has reached Rs 3.6 lakh,” he said.
“Is the BJP ready for a debate on the debt of the state and the Centre? Telangana currently stands first in (cultivation of) paddy and chillies, and second in cotton production, in the country. Recruitments to universities was stopped by organisations affiliated to the BJP by approaching the court. The common recruitment board Bill is still pending with the Governor. The people of Telangana are not going to support the BJP,” Reddy said.
