Nadda meets Telangana BJP leaders

HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party president J.P. Nadda, in the city for the BJP’s consultative committee meeting covering 11 states, discussed the road map for the party for the coming Assembly elections in Telangana at a separate meeting,.

Among those at the meeting held late in the evening at a hotel in Shamshabad to discuss coordination among leaders holding various responsibilities, were state BJP president and Union minister G Kishan Reddy, former Union minister Prakash Javadekar who was two days ago appointed the party’s election affairs in-charge for the state, and party vice-president D.K Aruna, general secretary and Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh, and former state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Also meeting Nadda were MPs Dr K. Laxman and Dharmapuri Arvind, MLA Etala Rajendar who also heads the state BJP’s election committee, former MPs Vivek Venkatswamy, A.P. Jithender Reddy, Vijayashanti, Garikapati Mohan Rao, and former MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy who was recently appointed to the party’s national executive committee as a member.

Following on the heels of Nadda’s meeting on Monday, the party will also see Sunil Bansal, general secretary, hold a meeting of the BJP’s state core committee at the party office in the city on Tuesday to follow up on issues discussed at Nadda’s Monday evening meeting and sharpen the party strategy for elections.
