Kanam Rajendran rules out K M Mani in LDF
Mani has made it clear that he will keep equal distance with the LDF and the NDA and show the party's strength.
Thrissur: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran has ruled out admitting the Kerala Congress (M) into the LDF saying party chairman K.M. Mani, facing allegations in the bar bribe case, cannot gain a clean image by leaving the UDF and joining the LDF. “Mani was tainted by various allegations while he was with the UDF and by crossing over to the LDF he will not become a saint,” he told reporters here on Tuesday.
The LDF government was voted to power for its stand against corruption and only parties following the leftist ideology could be part of the LDF, he said. “Mani has made it clear that he will keep equal distance with the LDF and the NDA and show the party’s strength. I convey my best wishes to the KC (M) for taking such a stand,” he added.
