S Ramadoss wants Edappadi K Palaniswami to lead all-party meet

Chennai: PMK founder S.Ramadoss on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to lead an all-party delegation to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and press for exempting Tamil Nadu from NEET.

The all-party team should either ask for passing the state government’s bill exempting the state from NEET or pass an ordinance to provide exemption to it for one year. Besides, the state government should obtain the permission of Supreme Court to extend the deadline for medical admission by a few weeks.

If the medical admissions are not completed within this month, there is a danger of 85 per cent of state quota seats and 100 per cent of private medical seats being declared vacant.
