Pawan Kalyan hits out at Venkaiah Naidu, seeking special status for AP
Says AP was handed rotten laddus'.
Kakinada: Jana Sena founder and actor Pawan Kalyan has had enough with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Going by his remarks at the “Seemandhra Atma Gowrava Sabha” here on Friday evening, the leader appeared to be leaning towards the Left parties, especially the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
He lashed out at the BJP and the Congress and suggested MLAs and MPs should leave the party because Union minister Mr Venkaiah Naidu had ‘killed’ the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan Kalyan, however, spared Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Comparing the Central government's special assistance measure to “rotten laddus”, Pawan said that Kakinada Kaja and Tapeswaram Kajas were much better than the Centre’s SCS laddus. Lashing out at Mr Venkaiah Naidu he said, “When he comes begging for votes, he speaks an easier language. But after assuming power, he speaks a tough language, which the common people do not understand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his election campaign, had said that he would provide happiness to each house but now Seemandhra people are crying with hunger.”
He said when the BJP made a resolution for separate statehood for Telangana, there was no enactment for the special category status for AP. BJP betrayed the people with false promises and the party has been killed in AP.
Pawan Kalyan lauded CPM leader Seetharam Yechuri for declaring that his party would launch agitations if the NDA government failed to give the special category status to AP. He said that he would also think of supporting the CPM’s movements by framing a detailed action plan.
He mentioned that the Chief Minister should decide whether he would take “rotten laddus” (the special package) or throw it back at the Centre.
