Vijayawada: Differences between ministers Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu and Ganta Srinivasa Rao have been worrying the TD headquarters a lot.

Though there was silence for some time regarding those differences, the rift has started showing again. The party chief will take a call on this issue within a couple of days, according to sources. Mr Ayyannapatrudu had alleged earlier that Madhurawada zone police were listening to Mr Ganta only and ignoring the other public representatives.

It may be recalled that Minister Mr Ayyannapatrudu had expressed displeasure over the officials of excise, police and few others departments for conducting review meeting on the ganja trade without any action.

Ayyannapatrudu said everyone has idea on where was the ganja growing and who have been playing major role in transporting the contraband, but there was no concrete steps to check the illegal trade.

He alleged bigwigs were involved in the smuggling of the contraband, creating a commotion in the district TD camp. It may be recalled that few days ago, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao held a review meeting with officials on ganja cultivation and steps to be taken to root out the trade. Referring to a recent review meeting conducted by Mr Ganta on the ganja trade in Visakhapatnam Age-ncy, Ayyanapatrudu said it would yield no result and called it “a waste of time”. However, he did not take the name of his Cabinet colleague.

Last week, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the AP government has been preparing the ground to crack a whip on ganja cultivation and smuggling in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts.

In the multi-crore land scam also, minister Mr Ayyanapatrudu targeted the HRD Minister and alleged Madhurawada police have been listening to only one Cabinet Minister.

All these points and issues were discussed in TD’s coordination committee meeting held on Saturday here at Capital city and the Chief Minister has reportedly expressed unhappiness over both the ministers for bringing the party on to the roads, time and again.
