Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday mocked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and said he had the maximum number of jokes in his name.

Without taking names, the Prime Minister said, “There is this Congress leader known for his childish acts. If you Google, you will see that he has the maximum number of jokes on him. No other leader is the target of as many jokes as him.”

He said that even senior Congress leaders maintained a safe distance from this leader but since Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had embraced him, he now doubted the CM’s wisdom too. The Prime Minister was addressing an election rally in Bijnore on Friday.

Mr Modi ridiculed the Congress-SP alliance terming it a case of “Aa gale lag jaa (come hug me)”. “Both have realised that the BJP lotus is blooming everywhere and this alliance is an act of desperation,” he said.
