K Sudhakaran vows to be Congressman till death
Mr Sudhakaran said his wish was to live, work and die as a Congressman.
KANNUR: Congress leader K. Sudhakaran on Saturday rubbished CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan’s comment that he was planning to jump ship and join the BJP. He added that he would remain in the party even if all the others leave it. Mr Sudhakaran said his wish was to live, work and die as a Congressman. He also said that he would consider moving legally against the CPM-supported news channel for claiming that he accepted the invitation by the BJP.
"In an exclusive to another news channel, I had admitted that someone had told me about their (BJP's) interest in holding talks with their top leaders. That is part of my political credibility. Jayarajan is upset over the mistrust evolved among the minority communities against his party leaders after the killing of Shuhaib," said Mr Sudhakaran. "They (CPM leaders) are upset over the erosion of minority base in Kannur as the Parliament elections nears," he added. He demanded that the Thalassery riot should be re-investigated to expose CPM's role in it.
